Anita Rose Lowe, 53, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. She spent her life as a mother, wife, sister, and best friend to many. She lived with light, humor, and unconditional love in each day. Big hearted, kind and full of energy, she will live on among us.
She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Wilson and Ruth Mae McCray. Anita is survived by her husband, Tony Lowe; son, Justin Paul Russell of Portland, Ore.; brother, Jim McCray and wife Becky of Meadowview; sisters, Sue Bailey of Abingdon and Carole King and husband Jay of Abingdon; nieces, Alayna Hubble and husband Calvin, Emily Bailey, and Ellie Martin and companion Charles Crawford; nephew, Adam McCray; mother-in-law, Patricia Lowe of Richlands, Va.; brother-in-law, Ricky Dean Lowe and wife Debbie of Richlands, Va.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2018 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastors Jerry Barrett and Danny Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Rush Creek Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jim McCray, Bill Bailey, Jay King, Eddie Thomas, Freddy Ray, Mark Thomas, Adam McCray, and Ricky Dean Lowe. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the funeral home, and anytime at 28041 Lee Highway, Apt. 7, Abingdon, VA 24210.
