Cathy Ann Kestner Shrader

Cathy Ann Kestner Shrader, 67, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Grace Healthcare. Cathy was a native of Washington County, Va. and was a 1968 graduate of Patrick Henry High School. She also graduated from Virginia Highlands Community College with a degree in Accounting. Cathy worked for over 28 years at Paramont Ranch as their bookkeeper. She loved her family and work, and also loved her garden and pets.

Cathy was predeceased by her father Silas Kestner. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Shrader; her mother Gladys Tuggle Kestner of Saltville; son Andrew Shrader of the home; sisters Judy Bordwine and husband Randy of Saltville, and Fay Smith and husband Marty of Bristol, Va.; niece Jennifer Taylor and husband Brian of Saltville; nephews Willie Bordwine of Abingdon, Michael Smith and wife Kim, and Travis Smith, all of Bristol, Va. Aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service for Cathy Ann Kestner Shrader will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Roger O’Quinn officiating. Interment will follow in the Hiram Henderson Cemetery in Saltville, Va., where nephews, cousins and friends will serve as pall bearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the funeral home.
