Emma Jean Stallard

Emma Jean Stallard age, 69, of Damascus, VA passed on Saturday, February 18, 2017, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born December 10, 1947 to the late Leslie (John) Stallard and Evelyn McClary Stallard she was preceded in death by a brother John Douglas Stallard and step mother Pearl Taylor Stallard. Emma was a life-long resident of Washington County, VA and lived in Meadowview, VA for 65 years before moving to Damascus, VA. She was a member of the Blackwell Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved her Heavenly Father who was her companion while on earth. She loved the beauty of nature and all the animals, especially dogs and livestock.

Survivors include sisters; Susie Morrison and Gloria (Beanie) Russell of Damascus, VA, a brother Samuel Stallard of Sarasota, FL; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Steve Castle officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246, Abingdon, VA 24212.
