Margaret Raye Snodgrass

Margaret Raye “Peggy” Snodgrass, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born February 3, 1951, to the late Robert H. Snodgrass, Jr. and Frances Bishop Snodgrass. Peggy was a member of Rock Spring Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a great nephew, Lucas Snodgrass.

Peggy is survived by her brother, Robert H. “Buddy” Snodgrass, III and wife, Lana, of Abingdon, Va.; two nephews, Christopher Brown Snodgrass and wife, Daniela, of Chilhowie, Va. and Robert Brandon Snodgrass and wife, Amanda, of Abingdon, Va.; great nephew, Andrew; six great nieces, Caroline, Emma, Catarina, Clara, Lauren, and Nora.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with the Rev. Susanne Martin officiating. A reception will be held at the home of Buddy and Lana Snodgrass, 865 Glenview Dr., Abingdon, Va. 24211, following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246, Abingdon, Va. 24212.
