Mary Terry Chilton, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Washington County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Watson Terry and Molly Fields Terry. She had been employed by the Empire Restaurant and the Martha Washington Inn. Mary was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Emma Mink, Virginia Snead, Ethel Smith, Martha Smart, Ella Mae Sutter, Kenneth Terry and Henry Terry.
She is survived by one sister, Helen Davidson of Abingdon, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mary Chilton will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jerry Fritz, Rev. Barbara Farmer, and Rev. Ralph Kidd officiating.
