He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Johnson, three sisters, Mary Ellen Johnson, Thelma Irene Johnson and Lorraine Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Martha Johnson, Abingdon, VA, one son, Greg Johnson and wife Tina, Abingdon, VA, one daughter, Regina Kestner and husband Bryan, Abingdon, VA, three sisters, Marie Salyer and husband, Donald, Abingdon, VA, Sandra Dorton and husband Russell , Castlewood, VA, Elaine Helbert and husband Marvin, Castlewood, VA, five brothers, Elmer Johnson and Bill Johnson, both of Castlewood, VA, Ramond “Tiny” Johnson and wife Lucille, Castlewood, VA, Marvin Johnson and wife Sarah, Castlewood, VA, Jim Johnson and wife Mary, Bristol, VA, six grandchildren, Lauren, Cameron, Leah and Campbell Kestner, Alex and Adam Johnson all of Abingdon, VA. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, December 11, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. The committal service will be conducted Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. The procession will leave the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. for the graveside service. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
