He was born January 23, 1945 in Richlands, Virginia and was a son of Edna Palmer Elliott and the late Elery Ellington Elliott. He was a member of Highlands Fellowship. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Leon Elliott. Survivors are his wife, Sharon Parks Elliott; his son, Billy Elliott and wife, Jennifer of Bristol, VA; his daughter, Sherri Hall and husband, Jeff of Bristol, VA; his mother, Edna Palmer Elliott; four grandchildren, Kelci, Billy Ray, Zach and Dalton; a friend who was like a brother, Eddie Stout and a special friend, Danny Mumpower. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 19, 2009 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA with Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Eddie Stout, Danny Mumpower, Jeff Hall, Donny Quales, Darryl Baird and Bob Talbert. The family will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
