Name: Ruby Eva Thompson Gentry Date: December 26th, 2009 Obituary: Ruby Eva Thompson Gentry, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was a long time resident of Glade Spring, VA and a member of the Glade Community First Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles S. Gentry, Jr. and her beloved son, Charles E. Gentry, Sr. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sandra P. Gentry of Glade Spring; two grandsons, Charles E. “Chad” Gentry, Jr. and wife, Shannon; and Chuck L. Gentry and wife Sandra, all of Chilhowie; and four great grandchildren, Kali Paige Gentry, Sarah Kennedy Gentry, Kacie Jane Gentry, and Chance Konrad Gentry. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 7 pm at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Gene Little officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11 am at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Gentry’s home following the interment. Cemetery: Mt.
