Name: Clarence Gilmer "Jake" Minnick Date: December 29th, 2009 Obituary: Clarence Gilmer “Jake” Minnick, 93, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at his residence. He was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church and was farmer all of his life. Jake was preceded in death by his first wife, Una Lovern Minnick and his second wife, Vida Hill Minnick. Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Ann Suthers, Roanoke, VA, Rebecca Smith and husband, Wayne, Dandridge, TN, two step-sons, David Hill and wife, Judy and Sam Hill and wife, Mitzi all of Meadowview, VA, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one great- great grandchild, Alissa Lynne Schuyer, five step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 2, 2010 at noon in the Farris Funeral Service, Main Street Chapel with Pastor Bill Graybeal and Pastor Paul Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Harry Parris, Timothy Orfield, Todd Orfield, Greg Hill, Trevor Orfield, David Hill, IV. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Orfield, Wayne Smith and Todd Suthers. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Home.
