Name: Mary Jane Mays McCracken Date: June 21st, 2010 Obituary: Mary Jane Mays McCracken, 94, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Grace Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McCracken; brothers Charles I. Mays, Homer W. Mays, and Dan K. Mays; sisters Hattie M. Mays, Martha Mays Alexander, and Lydia Mays Cox; and her niece, Peggy A. Hedrick and nephew, Dr. Greg M. Eades. She was a member of the State Street Church of Christ and a second mom to her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by one step-son and two step-daughters. One brother Arthur Franklin Mays, Jr. of Staunton, and one sister, Faye Gray of Bristol, TN. A special nephew, Jerry Mays, who gave her tender love and care through out her life; and several other nieces and nephews. Services for Mary Jane McCracken will be held Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 3:00 PM in Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum with Brother Dan Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM immediately prior to the funeral service. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
