Doug worked for Norfolk & Western Railroad for over 35 years and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Cross and husband David of Bristol VA, Kathy Burnette and husband David of Bristol, TN; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friends, Floyd McVey and Gary Lingerfelt; and several nieces and nephews. A private service was held at the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
