Albert Luther Venable, 87, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Albert was born in Saltville, VA., to the late James and Della Venable. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from U.S. Gypsum in Saltville after 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Edna Venable and survived by his son Gene Venable and his wife Cheryl Garrett Venable of Blythewood, SC; a brother, Donald Lee Venable of Meadowview, VA; two sisters, Kathleen McHugh of Santa Rosa, CA., and Mae Roberts of Meadowview, VA., and one grandson, Michael Venable of Clayton, NC.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Forest Hills Memory Garden, Chapel of Memories with the Reverend Barbara Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the Farris Funeral Service, Forest Hills Chapel one hour prior to the service.
