Alexis Brittney Harless

Alexis Brittney “Lexie” Harless, age 24, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Bristol Regional Medial Center.  She was a 2015 graduate of Abingdon High School and participated in activities with Highlands Community Services.  Lexie was a member of Temple Baptist Church.    

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Charlotte Harless. Lexie is survived by her parents, Jennifer Woodward Proffitt and husband, Michael, of Bristol, Va. and Charles Darin Harless of Bristol, Tenn.; sister, Adrienne Combs and husband, Nathan, of Bristol, Va.; maternal grandparents, Donald Woodward and Betty Street Woodward of Bristol, Va.; paternal grandfather, Jerry Harless of Bristol, Tenn.; two nieces, Laila and Alaina Reign; and a nephew, Alaric.

A funeral service will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 15157 Inspiration Dr., Abingdon, VA 24210, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Price and Pastor Kevin Price officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Daniel Artrip, Austin Blankenship, Joseph Colston, Ronald Norris, Jerry Price, and Derek Woodward will serve as pallbearers. Robert Norris and Rick Yates will serve as honorary pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at the church.
