Allene McClanahan Baldwin, 82, passed on Friday, July 19, 2019, in Johnson City Medical Center. Allene was a resident of Grundy, Va. before moving to Abingdon in 1992. She was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ and a former employee of BB & T.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pricey Ramey McClanahan; daughter, Kathy Belcher; brothers, Elmer and Earl McClanahan; and sister, Ruth Sloane.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ellis Baldwin; sister, Yvonne Ward of Grundy, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Macedonia Church of Christ, 25350 Watauga Road, Abingdon, VA 24211, with Minister Ron Musick and Richard Williams officiating.
