Angel Joy Grant McVey, age 36, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Leonard Grant; brother, Marshall Edward Grant; and nephew, Corey Andrew Ashley.
She is survived by her mother, Gail Grant; her loving husband of 18 years, Charles H. McVey; son, Nicholas McVey of the home; brother, Junior Lee Grant and wife Terrilyn of Meadowview, VA; sister, Melissa Gail Ashley and husband Daniel of Damascus, VA; step-grandson, John Wayne Stamper, who was very close to her heart; niece, Frances Grant ; two nephews, Trace Ashley and Justin Porter; and great nephew, Zayne Ashley.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Bethel Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery where Billy Anderson, Steven McVey, David Rosenbaum, Jamie Schunke, Zack Schunke, David Waugh, and Tommy Waugh will serve as pallbearers.
Guests may visit at the home of Gail Grant, 20103 Palmwood Drive, Abingdon, VA 24211, at any time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defer the cost of final expenses.
