Anita Maria Lockhart, 55, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center. She spent most of her life in Glade Spring and worked in textiles, food service and home health care industries. Anita was a member of Mount Calvary Church. She loved to cook, and she spent hours reviewing recipes and watching cooking shows.
She was predeceased by her parents Sylvester and Myrtle Ferguson Johnson, brothers James West and Timothy Johnson, and sisters Beatrice Whitting and Janet Hager. Anita is survived by her daughter Jessica Large of Piney Flats, Tenn; son Corey Large of Bristol, Va.; sisters Velma Branch of Glade Spring and Barbara Bradley of Meadowview, Va.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Barbara Bradley officiating.
