Mrs. Ann Marie Lancaster, age 87, passed away on Sunday March 23, 2014 in the Johnston Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lancaster was born in Carbondale, PA and had moved to Abingdon, from California in 1998. She was employed in the computer manufacturing industry as an assembler of computer boards.
Mrs. Lancaster was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Abingdon. She enjoyed all types of arts and crafts, but especially enjoyed painting. However, the cherished love of her life was her granddaughter Kristin.
Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her son Patrick and wife Kay of Illinois; daughter Lori Maggart and husband Jere of Abingdon; brother Frank Fratto and wife Dorothy of California; sister Rosalie Fratto of Abingdon and granddaughter Kristin Maggart of Abingdon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Christ the King Catholic Church; Abingdon, VA, on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
The family has requested that contributions be made to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
