Anna "Ann" Stout Poole, age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at her residence. She was born December 15, 1932 in Washington County, Virginia, daughter of the late Floyd Stout and Hazel Walden Stout. She retired from Central Fidelity Bank after working seventeen years as a teller. She was also the former co-owner of Exit 19 Mobile Home Park.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" C. Poole; one daughter, Judy Poole Sirk; and one brother, Charles A. Stout.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Poole and fianc�©e Donna Neal of Abingdon; one daughter Linda Russell and husband Justice of Winchester, VA; one sister, Jane Stout Berke and husband Jim of Bristol, VA; four grandchildren: Tony Sirk, Andrew Holbrook, Lindsey Poole and Caitlin Poole; one great-grandchild, Alexis White; several nieces and nephews; her cousin, Mary Repass Colley; special friend, Helen Roark; and her precious dog Coco.
The funeral service for Anna Stout Poole will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011, at Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Johnson, Dewey Johnson, John Johnson, Jim Akers and Jerry Sirk. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
