Annie Geneva Casey

January 6, 1940 — February 16, 2010

Miss Annie Geneva Casey, age 70, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Virginia and a graduate of Meadowview High School. She attended church when she was able and enjoyed family get-togethers over the years. Miss Casey was preceded in death by her parents, James Robert Casey and Edna Virginia Casey; her brother-in-law, Bill Carrier; and her sister-in-law, Betty Casey.

Miss Casey is survived by her siblings: Freda Casey Myers and husband Richard, and Pearl Casey Carrier, all of Piney Flats, TN; L.C. Casey and wife Linn, and Dudley Casey and wife Hazel, all of Meadowview, VA; Dorothy Casey Ray and husband Mack; Jewel Casey Ray and husband Richard, Jr.; Shirley Casey Ray and husband Clyde; Alvin Casey and wife Linda; James Robert Casey, Jr. and wife Audrey; Tony Casey; and Daphne Casey Lewis and husband Wayne, all of Saltville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Miss Casey will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Roger O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in Fall Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff and friends at Abingdon Manor Nursing Home and also to Hospice and Palliative Care of Virginia employees Mary, Kristi, and Pam for all their love and care.
