Arnold Eugene Viers, age 64, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home. Gene was a U.S. Army Veteran and was preceded in death by his parents, Hansel Willis Viers and Lillian Josephine Buchanan Viers.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Griffith Viers; two sons, Vince (Yumi) Viers and Kirk Viers both of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Herbert (Joanne) Viers of Bristol, VA and David (Donna) Viers of Willow Springs, MO; sister, Barbara Patton of Bristol, TN; and two grandchildren, Preston and Sarah Viers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with George Griffith, Kirk Viers, David Viers, Herbert Viers, and Chad Taylor serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at 10:00-11:00 A.M. Saturday, just prior to the service. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
