Arthur Lee Hamilton, Jr., age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at DarWay Eldercare and Rehabilitation Center in Forksville, PA.
He was born to the late Arthur Lee Hamilton, Sr. and Della Hall Hamilton on March 28, 1935 in Clinchburg, VA. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Willa Mae Hutton Hamilton; two daughters, Cindy Van Vliet and husband Harry of Manchester, MD and Robin Hamilton and husband Mark Twombley of Pasadena, MD; two sisters, Dorothy Nelson and husband Robert of West Columbia, SC and Dixie Stumpf of Columbia, IL; three grandchildren: Jillian Neal and husband Justin of Falls Church, VA; Rachel Twombley; and Nathan Twombley both of Pasadena, MD.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Reverend Barbara Farmer officiating. The committal service will be private and interment will follow at Mahanaim Methodist Church Cemetery in Clinchburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
