Bertha Tweed Kitchens, age 91, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Accordius Healthcare in Abingdon. Bertha was the daughter of the late Reuben and Josie Tweed and was born in Brumley Gap, Va.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Craig Kitchens; brothers Carl Tweed, Arley Tweed, Sr., and James Tweed; sisters Helen Tweed Hearl, and Nellie Mitchell.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, there will not be a public service. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
All of the family would like to take this opportunity to thank Accordius Healthcare for the wonderful treatment and care that they provided to Bertha during all of the years that she spent at their facility.
