Bessie M. Stiltner

Mrs. Bessie M. Stiltner, age 91, passed away on Friday September 6, 2013. She was a native of Buchanan County Virginia and lived there until moving to Abingdon 32 years ago. Mrs. Stiltner was employed by and retired from the Grundy Hospital; Grundy, VA. She was a member of the Holston Valley Baptist Church; Abingdon, VA. As long as her health permitted, Mrs. Stiltner loved to pass her free time on the lake or on a river bank fishing.

Mrs. Stiltner was preceded in death by son Ronnie Stiltner and grandson Dustin Stiltner.

Mrs. Stiltner is survived by 2 sons; Eddie Stiltner of Abingdon, VA and Bobby Stiltner and wife Barbara of Unicoi, TN; 2 daughters Carol Looney and husband Tommy, and Wanda Music both of Abingdon, VA; daughter-in-law Irene Stiltner of Cedar Bluff, VA; 1 brother Jerry Matney of Newport News, VA and 2 sisters; Ruby Dotson of Mikado, MI and Mildred Justice of Mouthcard, KY. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on September 8, 2013 at Holston Valley Baptist Church; Abingdon, VA.
