Bonnie Jean VanHuss Estep, age 72, passed away at her home on Friday, May 14, 2010.
She had been employed at Harwood, Golan and she worked at Tri-Tube for 16 years. Bonnie enjoyed gardening and yard work, reading and working crossword puzzles. She especially loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ.
Mrs. Estep was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Lettie M. Kiser VanHuss five brothers: Charles H. VanHuss, John A. VanHuss, James C. VanHuss, Paul F. VanHuss, and Ralph H. VanHuss; and two sisters: Marie Tugman and Ella Mae Faw.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: Donnie Estep, and David Estep and wife Teresa, all of Abingdon; brothers: Robert VanHuss of Biloxi, Mississippi, Gary VanHuss of Abingdon, and Harold D. VanHuss of Roanoke, VA; sisters: Janet McClellan of Lake City, FL, Doris Yarber of Glade Spring, and Linda Anderson of Mouth of Wilson, VA; two grandchildren: Melody Helton and Austin Chase Estep; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Bonnie Estep will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Ron Musick, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Richard Williams, Ken Tugman, Kevin Yarber, Kenny Faw, Keith Anderson, and Armando Socarras.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. â?? 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2010, at the funeral home.
