Brenda Carol Colley, 52, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at her home in Abingdon.
She was born January 6, 1957 and was a daughter of Carl William "Bill" and Carrie Lee Widener. She had worked as a cook at Shoney's restaurant in Abingdon for 15 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are her parents; her husband, Ralph L. Colley; son, Lee Colley of the home; sisters, Linda Singleton, Lucy Long Widener both of Abingdon and Bonnie Widener of Greeneville, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon with Rick Mabe officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Baldwin, Jason Love, Justin Ausmus, Aaron Hicks, Derek Johnson and Charles Hand.
The family will be receiving friends at the Forest Hills Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday.
