Brian David Bowers, age 52 and life long resident of Glade Spring, VA, passed on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bowers was an employee at General Dynamics for 26 years and was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Ernest Bowers and Hazel Shirley Hawthorne Bowers, and brother-in-law, Mike St. John.
He is survived by his son, Zach Bowers and wife Kati of Wytheville, VA; sister, Naomi St. John and special friend Jerry Harmon of Chilhowie, VA; brothers, Ed Heath and wife Betty and Rick Bowers and wife Pam, both of Glade Spring, VA; grandson, Mason Wise; great nephews, Dylan and Nathan St. John; loyal companion, Gracie; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Danny Mefford officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 6-7 p.m. just prior to the service.
