Cara Sue Dollar Gentry

Cara Sue Dollar Gentry, age 73, a former resident of Abingdon and a resident of Ashe County, North Carolina, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.
She was born April 27, 1940 in Baldwin, NC to the late Theadore Worth Dollar and Vea Johnson Dollar. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reeves Carlton Gentry and her son, Douglas Kirk Gentry.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Carlton Gentry of Danville, KY and Dwayne Theodore Gentry and his wife Tracy, both of Lexington, KY; a brother, John Dollar and his wife Janice, of Hickory, NC; a sister, Betsy Dollar Reeves and her husband Ralph, of Jefferson, NC; her grandchildren, Dana Gentry Jackson and her husband Chris, Christopher Gentry, Makenzy and Addison Gentry, all of Lexington, KY, Anna Gentry Hatfield of Richmond, VA and Alyce Gentry Fogel of Smyrna, GA; great grandson, Henry Graham Hatfield; 3 nieces, Melanie Reeves Miller, Melissa Reeves Cowie and Jessica Dollar Riina.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 1 PM to 2 PM at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Reverend Barbara Farmer officiating.
