Clarence Lowe, Jr., age 70, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lowe was a member of Holston Valley Baptist Church and owner of Jr. Lowe Construction. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence H. Lowe and Winnie May Watson Lowe.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Neal Lowe; brother, Roy Earnest (Virginia) Lowe of Abingdon, VA; sister, Lillian Osborne of Abingdon, VA; and nieces and nephews, Tom Osborne, Jack Osborne, Terry Osborne, Mark Lowe, and Julie Gobble.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., November 29, 2013, at Holston Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Ketron officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dale Smeltzer, Jack Malone, Charlie Counts, James Ward, Eddie Bartley, Ronnie Umbarger, and Rick Umbarger serving as pallbearers. Hunter Brown will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation with the family will be held 12-2:00 p.m. Friday just prior to the service at the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Holston Valley Baptist Church Building Fund, 18396 Cleveland Road, Abingdon, VA 24211 in Mr. Lowe's name.
