Clonnie Artis Lawson

Clonnie Artis Lawson, age 84, of Meadowview, Va., passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born September 21, 1934, to the late Ira Lawson and Betty Hillman Lawson.
In addition to his parents, Clonnie was also preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Mary Elizabeth Hurd Lawson; son, Roger Allen Lawson; and two brothers, Pey Lawson and Claude Lawson.
He is survived by his son, Clonnie “Lee” Lawson and wife, Tina, of the home; three grandchildren: Bonnie Harber and husband, Sean, of Ocala, Fla.; Micheal Lawson and wife, Heather, of Bristol, Va.; and Kira Lawson and partner, Christopher “Rooter” Walker, of Abingdon, Va.; nine great grandchildren, Kolby, Madison, Destiny, Casandra, Beth, Luke, Brantley, Tristan, and Elicia.
According to his wishes, Clonnie will be cremated and his family will scatter his remains in a private ceremony.
