Dana "Susie" Walker

Bristol, VA – Dana “Susie” Walker, age 49, departed this life on April 15, 2014, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Dana was an employee of Bristol, VA Target store for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Meade, and husband, Donald Beam Walker, Jr. She is survived by her fiancée, Arnold Hubbard of Bristol, VA; children, Anna Walker and fiancee Willie Monroe, Shawn Walker, Jerry (Leora) Hubbard, Jeannette (Johnny) Pickens, and Ida (Brandon) Hawkins; seven grandchildren, Caiden, Lucas, Liam, Sydnei, J.J., C.J., and Joshua; two sisters, Lillian Miles and Martha Powers and special brother-in-law, Tommy Powers; three brothers, Donald Schmidt, Billy Schmidt, and Michael (Jessica) Meade; several nieces and nephews including one close to her heart, Troy (Pam) Hubbard. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Kevin Segerblom officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Ms. Walker’s name.
