Delores Colley

Abingdon, VA – Delores Marilyn Looney Colley, age 83, passed on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Delores was born and raised in Vansant, VA to the late Burl and Hattie Looney and moved to Abingdon, VA in 1978. Delores was an employee of Hillcrest Adult Care for over 20 years. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and friend to everyone she met. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Colley; three brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her son, Michael Colley and wife Cynthia of Abingdon, VA; daughter, Lori Colley of Pheonix, AZ; sister, Dessie Amburn of Burkeville, VA; three grandchildren, Sarah Colley, Megan Gilbert, and Alex Wikel; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ronnie Johnson. Visitation with the family and friends will be held 1:00-2:30 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Mt.
