Donna Marie Kestner Seymore

Abingdon, VA – Donna Marie Kestner Seymore, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late John E. Kestner and Marie Poole Kestner on January 20, 1953. She attended Damascus Road Baptist Church and owned her own business, Donna’s Hair Styling, where she worked as a cosmetologist for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Franklin Seymore, Sr. She is survived by her son: Devin Seymore and wife Jessica of Abingdon, VA; daughter, Lauren Ann Seymore and significant other Austin Wright of the home; step-daughter, Mary Beth Dorton and husband Greg of Crossville, TN; sister, Peggie Leonard of Bristol, VA; step-grandson, Jarryd “Jay” Widener and wife Trisha of Damascus, VA; two step-great grandchildren, Jonathen and Morgan Widener; niece, Leslie Botts of Bristol, VA; and nephew, Thomas Oothoudt of Louisburg, NC. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at Damascus Road Baptist Church, 18844 Jeb Stuart Highway, Abingdon, VA 24211, with the Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park where Mitchell Block, Steve Hurley, Thomas Oothoudt, Devin Seymore, Tommy Seymore, and Austin Wright will serve as pallbearers. Greg Dorton and Jarryd “Jay” Widener will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18th at the church.
