Doris Miners Adrian

Doris Adeline Miners Adrian, age 92, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
She was born on May 19, 1925, to the late William Henry Miners and Margaret Shukis Miners in Rockford, Ill. She attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Abingdon, Va. and St. John’s Catholic Church in Marion, Va. and was a member of the Women’s Guild. Her love of sewing, quilting and crocheting were know to all. She continue to work in her sewing room as long as her health prevailed making gifts for family members and friends everyday.
In addition to her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Rowland W. Adrian, Jr.; son, Terry Adrian; daughter, Vanessa Adrian; two grandchildren, Brett Akers and Angela Adrian; and brother, Kenneth Miners.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Adrian of Saltville, Va. and Michael Adrian and wife Marcia of Rockford, Ill.; daughter, Renee Newland and husband Roy of Rockton, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the Caudill-Taylor Cemetery, 26064 N. Fork River Rd., Saltville, Va. 24370.
