Dorothy Lee Jones, age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Grace Healthcare. She was a native of Washington County, Va., and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. During her working years, she cleaned houses and cared for small children.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Euna Douglas and Ida Glass Jones, and her sister Frances Jones Wilcox. She is survived by her sisters Irma Jones of Meadowview, Va., Patsy Spadlin (Robert) and Peggy Meadow (Tony) both of Moneta, Va.; brother, Euna Ray Jones of Meadowview, Va., nephew, David Scruggs, and niece, Murleen Craighead.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Paul Price and Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Interment will follow at Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Casket bearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from noon until the time for the service.
