Dustin Ray "Blue" Ridenhour, age 22, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011.
Blue was born in Roanoke , VA , September 6, 1989 son of Joel Ridenhour and the late Shirley Deel Ridenhour. He moved to Abingdon in 2003 and graduated from Abingdon High School in 2007. Blue served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed welding, farming, hunting, horseback riding, working on trucks and hanging out with friends.
Survivors include his wife, Ashley Blevins Ridenhour; dear friends that he lived with, Ralph and Tammy Dingus; his best friend, Stewart Dingus; mother-in-law, Sheila Blevins; sister-in-law, Brittany Blevins; father-in-law, Jeff Blevins; his aunt and uncle, Anita "Sis" and Don Deel that helped raise him; step-brothers, Jason and Adam Deel; sisters, Crystal Hosey and Tiffany Ridenhour; father, Joel Ridenhour; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Deel Cemetery at Vansant. The funeral procession will be leaving Farris Funeral Service at 11 am on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Farris Funeral Service, PO Box 427 , Abingdon , VA 24212 to help with the cost of the funeral.
