Earl Morgan, 89, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA.
He was born July 27, 1922 in Plasterco, VA and was the last son of the late George and Eula Blevins Morgan. He served his country in the Pacific while he was in the Navy during WWII and had worked for Enterprise Fabricators in Bristol for 24 years and Food Country in Bristol for another 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Viola Marsh Morgan and a daughter Sandra Morgan of the home.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff and caregivers at Grace Healthcare in Abingdon, VA.
A graveside service for Mr. Morgan will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon with Pastor Kenneth Widner officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Family and friends are honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
