Earnest Clay Norris

Earnest Clay Norris, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Roberts Tire and was a member of Highland Chapel Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Norris and Bessie Rush Norris; and three brothers, Charles, Herman, and Graham Norris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eileen Price Norris; two sons, Ronald Gene Norris and Robert Clay Norris both of Bristol, Va.; daughter, Louise Widener and husband Junior of Abingdon, Va.; four brothers, Tom Norris and wife Emily and John Norris all of Lenoir of N.C., Thurman Norris and wife Patsy of Bristol, Va., and Paul Norris and wife Betty of Bristol, Tenn.; sister, Nora Branson and husband Bob of Bristol, Va.; sister-in-law, Janie Norris of Abingdon, Va.; three grandchildren; Robert Earnest Norris, Andrew Widener and wife Whitney, and Nicole Widener; great granddaughter, Riley Widener; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22nd with Bro. Fred Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Chapel Cemetery where Ronald Norris, Robert Norris, Junior Widener, Andrew Widener, Billy Schaffer, Jimmy Price, Shane Wright, and Allen Price will serve as pallbearers. Joe Roark and William Wright will serve as honorary pallbearers.
