Earnest Paul Taylor, 57, of Abingdon left this life for his heavenly home on Saturday, April 2, 2011 in a local hospital.
Paul was retired from Strongwell Manufacturing and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Damascus, VA.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Brenda Taylor; two sons and their wives, Jackie and Robin Taylor of Damascus, VA, and Michael and Valerie Taylor of Abingdon; the delights of his life the ones who called him "Pop Pop" are is five grandchildren, Dakota, Chase, Mayson, Chlowe, and Laken Taylor; and a very special nephew who Paul loved like a son, Allen Sinclair of Trinity, NC; he also leaves behind three sisters; and two brothers and a host of family and friends.
Paul loved and respected all that he came in contact with and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 8:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210 with Paul Arnold and Pastor Gary Blankenblecker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Glade Spring, VA. Those wishing to attend the graveside service should gather at the cemetery.
