Edgar Lewis Bowers

Abingdon, VA Edgar Lewis Bowers, age 75, passed on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Edgar was an employee of the Norandex Company for over 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Edgar enjoyed music and loved to collect die cast model cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Susie Nooncaster Bowers; son, Gary Bowers; and two brothers, Robert and Bill Bowers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Imogene Brooks Bowers; son, Michael Bowers and wife Brenda of Bristol, VA; grandchildren, Brian Bowers and Amanda Bowers Tweed; and three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Willie, and Waylon Bowers. Visitation with the family will be held 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway Abingdon, VA. A cryptside service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Randall Brooks officiating.
