Edward Joseph Brick, age 77, passed away at his home on Monday, October 14, 2019. Ed was born in Pittsburgh, PA and moved with his family to Abingdon in 1962. He was a long-time employee of Food Country USA in Abingdon. After the death of his father, Ed dedicated his time to caring for his mother. He was of the Catholic faith and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward W. and Margaret Wisniewski Brick. He is survived by his sister Beatrice “Bea” Lloyd of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; nephew Dennis Lloyd and wife Renee of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; niece Christine Tart and husband Gerald of Bristol, TN; great nieces and nephews Leslie Cain and husband Eddie, Dalton Lloyd, Trey Tart, Canaan Tart, and Logan Shope and husband Skylar.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Knollkreg Memorial Park; 556 Walden Road N.W.; Abingdon, VA with Clifford and Linda Roark officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at least 15 minutes prior to the service.
