Edwin Burke Jennell, age 74, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was an avid lover of music and enjoyed golfing.
He was born to the late Colon Burke Jennell and Edna Louise Smith Jennell. He is survived by his loving partner and caregiver, Linda Kiser; two sons, David Jennell of Kernersville, NC and Darryl Jennell of Abingdon, VA; two daughters, Shari Jennell-Sutherland and Linda Jennell Lowry both of Abingdon, VA; one grandson, Colin Brent Jennell-Sutherland "C-Bert"; one sister, Sherron Skibo and husband Charles of Cypress, TX; one niece, Debbie Skibo; one nephew, Mike Skibo; and special friends, Ray Frost and Don Ellis.
A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Buddy Burke officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Henry and the staff of Fresenius Medical Center.
