Edwin Frankie Grant

Edwin Frankie Grant, 84, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Grace Healthcare.  He was born to William Frank Grant and Letitie Maiden Grant on April 6, 1935.  He was a member of Suburban Christian Church and retired from Andis Pallet Company. 

In addition to his parents, Frankie was also preceded in death by his brother, Marshall Grant; two sisters, June Grant and Edith Whittaker; two step-daughters, Patricia Estep and Carol Trivett.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pauline Snyder Grant; three step-children: Ricky Ray Trivett, Sr. and wife Peggy of Johnson City, Tenn.; Michael Trivett, Sr. and wife Kathy of Granite Falls, N.C.; and Cathy Trivett of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Vivian Parker of Abingdon, Va.; eight grandchildren, Deborah Trivett, Savannah Williamson, Ethan Hewlett, Michael Trivett, Jr., Jordan Scarrberry, Tommy Trivett, Derick Trivett, and Ricky Trivett, Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Frankie’s niece Eula; nephew Dave Allen Waugh; and granddaughter Deborah, for their faithful visits.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Chriss Brandt officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery where Bobby Arnold, Ethan Hewlett, Jesse Hewlett, Dave Allen Waugh, Tom Waugh, and Chris Williamson will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suburban Christian Church, 20290 Wood Howell Rd., Bristol, VA 24202.
