Mrs. Elizabeth "Belle" Aistrop, age 81, passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2013, in Maryville, TN. She was a former resident of Glade Spring, VA, and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Aistrop was predeceased by her husband, Lester Aistrop. She is survived by her son Larry and wife Monica of Maryville, TN; four brothers: James C. Wynegar, Jr. and wife Roberta of Conway, SC; Bart Wynegar and wife Drema of Rocky Gap, VA; Joe Wynegar and wife Kathy of Eljay, GA; and Don Wynegar and wife Sharon of Bennettsville, AR; three sisters: Millie Kestner and husband Kenneth of Glade Spring, VA; Betty Henderson and husband David of Chilhowie, VA; and Margaret Harkelroad of Bristol, VA; two grandchildren: Matthew Aistrop of Maryville, TN, and Kristen Aistrop and fianc�© Justin Young of Maryville, TN; one great- granddaughter Katlyn Aistrop; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Elizabeth Belle Aistrop will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Paul Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in the Glade Spring Baptist Cemetery, Glade Spring, VA on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 am. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 for the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the Aistrop family has requested that memorial contributions be made to The Pat Summitt Fund, 625 Market Street, Suite 1400, Knoxville, TN 37902, which supports Alzheimer's research and awareness.
