Mrs. Emma Doris Trent, age 82, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Trent was born November 21, 1934 in Washington County, Virginia to the late Elliott Widener and Myrtle Thomas Widener. Mrs. Trent had worked at American Furniture for twenty-six years and was a member of Abingdon Church of Christ.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Trent; brother, Raymond Widener; sisters, Thelma Alexander, June Creasy, Mildred Corum, and Bea Watson.
Mrs. Trent is survived by her son, Freddie Dean Trent and wife, Kathy of Glade Spring; daughter, Shirley Trent Coleman of Glade Spring; grandsons, Freddie Trent and wife, Becky of Chilhowie, Jessie Trent of Glade Spring, and Timothy Coleman and wife, Scharlie of Greensboro, NC; granddaughter, Christy Trent Lutz and husband, Brad of Broadway, VA.; four great-grandchildren, Bryson, Cannin, Cally, and Jacob; sisters, Hazel Holmes of Meadowview, Edna Owens of Gray, TN., and Lucille Thompson of Bristol, VA., and Lenise Stout of Bristol, VA.
A celebration of Mrs. Trent’s life will be conducted at a later date.
