Ernest King, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA and was a son of Pauline V. Wise King and the late Ernest Lee King, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 â?? 1970.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, are his son, Sam King and wife, Mary Ann of Bristol, TN; his brothers and sister, Dewey King and wife, Betty of Bristol, VA, Eugene King and wife, Betty of Abingdon, Peggy King Mink and husband, Bill of Meadowview, VA, Bill W. King and wife, Kimberly of Abingdon and Curtis C. King and wife, Kim of Abingdon.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with James Pence, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens on Lee Hwy in Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be Blake Mink, Jay King, Geno King, Dusty Edwards, David Osborne and Jeff Greer.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service, 427 E. Main St., Abingdon from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to assist the family would be appreciated.
