Estelle Willie Beverly

Glade Spring, VA – Mrs. Estelle “Bug” Beverly, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2014. She was born on March 3, 1929 to the late Beulah Porter. She was a lifelong resident of Glade Spring, VA. Estelle was a very special woman and will be greatly missed. She was a dedicated member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Estelle is preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Porter; her husband, Charlie Beverly; two daughters, Violet Milner and Lois Dixon; and two sons, Tommy and Michael Porter. She is survived by two daughters, Janice “Fuzzie” Dirrell of Glade Spring, VA and Nina Doak of Antioch, TN; brother, Lucas Porter of Wytheville, VA; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015, at Fairview Baptist Church in Glade Spring with Rev. Danny Belcher and Rev. Catherine Sandefur officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery with Ricky Porter, Leon Porter, Danny Hounshell, Michael Thomas, Frankie Skipper, Durwin Skipper, Chris Miller, and Joe Lee Byars serving as pallbearers. Daryl Coleman, Michael Johnson, Gary Coleman, and Johnny Skipper will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be held 12-1:30 p.m. just prior to the service at the church.
