Ethel Lena Mink, 86, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
She was born May 31, 1925 in Russell County, VA and was the daughter of the late Ronald E. and Annis Branson Francisco. She was a retired employee of the Kroger Grocery Company and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Stuart Mink and her brother, Ronnie Francisco.
Survivors include her children, Annis Wagner and husband, Chick, Sally Brown and husband, Irvin, Bill Mink and wife, Rita and Jimmy Mink and wife, Nancy all of Abingdon; brother, James C. Francisco and wife, Florence of Bristol, VA; eight grandchildren, Paige Vandyke of Abingdon, Preston Wagner of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, David Brown of Abingdon, Nicole Cahoon of Johnson City, TN, Amanda Dye of Knoxville, TN, Ron Mink of Abingdon, Stuart Mink of Richmond, VA and Susan Woods of Bristol; fourteen great grandchildren and a special friend, Sharon McMillan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2011 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Luther Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon. Pallbearers will be Eric Dye, Ron Mink, Preston Wagner, Stuart Mink, Jimmy Woods, David Brown, Blair Cahoon and Mark Francisco.
The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
