Eula Wyatt Burcher

Mrs. Eula Wyatt Burcher, age 99, of Stuart, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born in Glade Springs, VA to the late Hubert and Hester Wyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Vance A. Overbay; her second husband, Levin Burcher; a grandson, Andrew Bryant Mayo; two sisters, Ida Wyatt, Catherine Hart; and four brothers, Bob, Bill, Frank, and Mahlon Wyatt.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Fox of Surrey, VA, Peggy and Frank Sawyer of Woolwine, VA; one son and daughter-in-law, Vance A. “Sonny” and Anne Overbay of Poquoson, VA; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


A graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery in Glade Springs, VA. Farris Funeral Home in Abingdon, VA will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Smith River Church of the Brethren, 1386 Bob White Rd., Stuart, VA 24171. Local arrangements are being provided by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, VA.
