Evangeline Rosenbaum Adams

Evangeline Rosenbaum Adams, age 61, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County, Virginia, daughter of Grace McCann Rosenbaum and the late Clyde Rosenbaum. She was a member of Glade Spring Presbyterian Church.
Evangeline retired after thirty-four years as a teacher in the Washington County Virginia school system, where she touched the lives of many. She was a wonderful cook, mother and grandmother.
Evangeline is survived by her mother, Grace McCann Rosenbaum; her daughter, Lisa Adams McCroskey and her husband James of Bristol, VA; two brothers: John Martin Rosenbaum and his wife Betty of Abingdon, and William Rosenbaum and his wife Janice of Bristol, VA; two sisters: Ramona Cline and her husband Darrell of Glade Spring, VA;, and Nola Ann Rosenbaum of Abingdon; two grandchildren: Zane McCroskey and Wyatt McCroskey; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Evangeline Adams will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. Roy Hull officiating. The committal service and burial will be Friday, February 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to meet at the funeral home Friday at 10:00 a.m. and will travel in a procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Harrison, Randy Osborne, Ernest Hurd, Bill Sanders, Leonardo Moncada Avellaneda, and Allen Orr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Shaffer, Scott Robertson, Dale Orr and Gene Orr.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. â?? 7:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 187, Memphis, TN 38101 or to a charity of your choice.
