Glade Spring, VA – Garland Andrew Caywood, age 67, passed on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Caywood was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of Virginia Highlands Community College.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Junior Caywood and Betty DeBoard Caywood.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cannon Caywood; grandson, Joshua Samuel Boone of Glade Spring, VA; one son Jason Caywood and wife Jennifer of Claypool Hill, VA; three step children, Heather Boone, Derek Boone, and Brittney Cabell, all of Glade Spring, VA; special step grandchildren, Sydney Grace Moore and Titus Alexander Willhite; grandchildren, Joanna Caywood, Donna Smith Caywood, Kaelyn Rayne, and Wynter Grace Caywood; brother, Glenn Caywood and wife Katrina; four sisters, Delores Prater and husband Lester, Mary Rabago and husband Rob, Sharon Shortridge, and Lisa Long; sister-in-law, Linda Steffey and husband Sam; brothers-in-law, David Cannon and wife Kristie, Timmy Cannon and wife Jesse, and Charley Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. It was Mr. Caywood’s wish to be cremated after the visitation.
